A psychologist's mind. A straight-talking coach.
I'm Jennifer Johnston-Jones, PhD. For more than 20 years I've been a California-licensed psychologist. I'm based in Manhattan Beach, California, and coach leaders and professionals across the U.S. through the decisions that shape their lives.

Why I coach.
I started out in neuropsychology, studying how the brain shapes the way we think, feel and decide. I worked at the UCLA Neuropsychological Institute, Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, St. John's Hospital and Children's Hospital Los Angeles, among others, and later ran Aspen Neuro in Aspen, Colorado, doing EEGs and brain mapping.
Over those years I kept seeing the same thing. Brilliant, capable people would understand their problem perfectly and still not move. Knowing wasn't the issue. They needed someone to think it through with them, challenge their assumptions, and hold them to the next step.
So that's what I built Science of Me to do. I bring the rigor of a scientist and the honesty of a good friend. You bring the decision. Together we turn it into action.
What it's like to work with me.
Curious
I want to understand your real situation, including the parts that don't fit neatly.
Precise
We name the decision, the options and the trade-offs. No vague pep talks.
Direct
When you ask what I think, I tell you. Kindly, but honestly.
Practical
Every session ends with something you'll actually do this week.
Warm
There's room for humor, uncertainty and changing your mind.
Discreet
What you share stays private. Your profile doesn't change how I treat you.
You might be the person everyone leans on.
You make the decisions, carry the responsibility and keep things moving. But who helps you think about what you want?
My clients include an Academy Award-winning actress, an Olympic gold medalist, professional athletes, senior executives at major companies and people with significant wealth and public visibility. They come to me when the stakes are high and they need someone sharp, honest and completely discreet.
